I had a very basic requirement - to be able to stitch together images that come from an ordinary flatbed scanner, or also simple screenshots. Alas! This software will produce severe distortions in such use case. Please can you add this feature? Things like planar projection seem so much simpler than what you have already accomplished...

yes, works great. If you want to stitch more than 5 photos, gives the options to upgrade.
I’ve used Canon’s Photostich for years and it has had it’s hiccups throughout the years and occasionally. Lately, every time I stitched with it, it’s been messing up, so I sought out a new photo pano app and I found this one which I believe beats it. My pano was seamless and beautiful. I don’t mind that it limits to 5 photos, I usually keep it at 4 to 5. Great app! I recommend.
Pretty decent, but has some limitations, the biggest of which is that there is no way to tweak the seams. A set of two photos that I tried showed a clear break right in the middle, but there is absolutely no way to tell the program to focus on that area and make it right. Also seems to have trouble with combinations of vertical and horizontal.
I have used many pano apps and never found a simpler one than this. The free version limits you to only 5 images but, if I ever need a more extensive pano I’ll get the PRO version. Easy to use, Good GUI, intuitive. No bells and whistles but for simple stuff this would be hard to beat.
This is an incredible app for combining scanned images
I have a flatbed scanner that scans up to legal 8.5x14 size but I also frequently need to scan larger photos or drawings. I have found this is a great app- I scan each corner of the artwork and then run them through this image processor and I can get great high quality stitches of the photos! The developer was also super responsive- I had misunderstood how to use a particular feature and emailed the support address and they responded almost immediately- it was incredibly nice. I decided to upgrade to the paid version of the app because this was so useful.
Drag and Drop Simplicity
I'm mainly using this for reference photos for landscape paintings, so I'm not really pushing any limits, but I was very pleased (and surprised the first time) with the ease of use. I simply selected the two photos to stitch, dragged them into the app, and BOOM—panorama. I was expecting to have to tweek the images or work around a seam, but gladly I did not. Looking forward to working with this more.

I need to stitch together 5 photos of a retaining wall over 50' long. Tried this app and it smushed all 5 photos together into about 12' and no way to manually move the images to correct the stitching. Worth what I paid for it, but not usable for me.

Fantastic!
I've only used it once at this point, but after struggling with a hard-to-use open-source solution for 20 minutes or so for 5 photos, this worked instantly and easily with no fuss or muss. Still more testing to do, but my first impression is solidly good. Thank you!

I used this to stitch microscope photos. Works great and it's fast.
Totally Doesn't Work
Don't know where they're buying their ratings...but this software does NOT work.
A "real" stitcher that works great!
I tried some other free "stich" apps for macOS that didn't do a "real" stich -- only a flat stitch. This one did exactly what I needed, first time, intuitively, with excellent results. I don't even need the upgraded version, but I want to purchase it so the author sees some return on this fine product.
Ever so pleased
I can't say I was expecting much. I started a big scanning project of old family pics and I came across some big prints dating back 70-80 years and more. They were quite a big larger than my Epson V600 printer's bed, and my attempt to stitch them together didn't go so well. So I tried the free version and the results were amazing--going to the paid version was a no-brainer. More recently I needed to digitize some large printed documents, including a survey of my property. When I did it in two halves, the app couldn't find enough matching details. Easy fix: do a additional scan along the middle, and the three images had more than enough overlap for the app to match detail and so stiched them perfectly.
Amazing for Scans
I used it to stitch together some scans and it's absolutely flawless. I literally can't tell where the stitching occurred and it was relatively fast too.

Super easy to use
I recently went to Death Valley and shot some pictures that I intended to stitch together, and when I got home I needed to find an app that could easily do this. This app did the job and was free. After downloading it I had some stitched images in a few minutes. Pretty intuitive. I also learned that I need to leave more overlap between some images so that this app will work. This is not a criticism of this app, just something I learned.
Didn't work
I scanned a document in two pieces and tried to combine the planar image. It said it worked but the "result" was just junk.
Don’t Delete Adjacent Photos, Blend Them With This
Was going to delete one of two photographs that were of same lake shore with some of the same section. Could not decide which to keep. Got this application, combined the two and looks perfect in planar mode and it went back to correct place in Photos application as the first photo’s file number, via desktop and opening it in “other” which shows photos app., open in that and back to spot in library it goes.
Wow!
Just experimented with 5 poorly taken pictures of a hospital I where I lived. Was frustrated with a different photo stich version and thought I would give this one a try. Was pleasantly surprised how nicely it turned out.
Great for simple panoramas
The free version works great. Very happy with the results - my panoramas did not have any visible artifacts from the stitching.
Worked great for me
I had a long military unit photo that I had to scan in three sections. This put them together seamlessly. Worked like a charm.
Simple, but very limiting
I’m not an artist or a pro, but I have an eye. I’d like to select photos and put them together as a pano and tweak them to match. This app even decides for me whether or not the selected photos are similar enough to stitch. Big disadvantage! Maybe the paid one gives more flexibility, but for now I’ll keep looking...
Works Surprisingly Well
Went to Grand Teton and took some photos. I didn’t have a good wide angle lens and it was just a couple minutes stop on our way back. All I had was a 35mm ZM lens which I knew has some distortion. But regardless wanted to give a try to take three photos horizontally of the Teton. Back home, edited the photos, I carefully made sure exposure remains constant. Loaded this app to stitch. It actually automatically adjusts exposure and is smart enough to stitch three photos together. It also allows you to adjust the distortion direction. The result is a 47M large jpg file that I’m quite proud of. This app worth five stars. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Terrific for occasional panos
